tunnelMUSIC returns from hiatus – it’s been a long time between drinks my friends, but in the words of the immortal Chumba Wumba, “I get knocked down, but I get up again.”

Six months ago, we hit a rather large, earthquake proportioned speed bump in our progress in bringing you the brand new site. But now we are back on reasonably solid ground and it seemed only fitting that we kickstarted this old boy up again, bringing you news and reviews of Christian music.

It’s going to take a bit of work to get back to where we left off, so this is a call to all those writers out there. That’s right, Uncle Paulie NEEDS YOU!!

Breakdowns, blastbeats, spin kicks and two-steps, what’s not to love?! Hardcore has always had a special place in my heart, many of my favourite bands such as Underoath, Norma Jean, The Chariot, Maylene and the Sons of Disaster and even NZ’s own Saving Grace are all bands who have made a name for themselves in this scene. Unfortunately, as much as Christian bands are making their presence felt, this is a scene riddled with a lot of negativity and even some demonic messages in it’s music. But to every dark cloud my friends, there is a silver lining. A good friend of mine, Nick Jones, decided that enough was enough of this.
